Each experience along the professional path amplifies your professional signal and extends your reach. Each is significant.

Episode Abstract

As the Executive Director at the SUNY-Manhattan Educational Opportunity Center, with my team, I developed a five-year strategic plan with faculty, staff, and students. I executed a comprehensive academic program review, reframed student learning outcomes, and aligned them with industry standards. I solidified several partnerships with community-based organizations to increase enrollment. My next opportunity as a chief development officer was an even greater experience. As Vice President for Advancement and External Relations at Cheyney University, I lead the effort to formalize fundraising priorities among alumni, The Cheyney University Club, and the Cheyney University Foundation. I developed a five-year fundraising plan, utilized a best practice wealth screening tool, and reduced competing interest among faculty and staff with potential donors to align with presidential priorities for student success. The experience I gained from working in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) was important added arrows to my professional quiver. Each experience along the professional path amplifies your professional signal and extends your reach. Each is significant.
